They've got over 50 songs penned, 2 music videos, sold out shows, and national radio stations giving them spins. You could say this first year has been good to Crash Encore.
But rapid growth is no stranger to lead singer Jon Bishop. His first band blew up at age 17, taking him for an explosive pop-punk journey around the globe. This success earned John a record produced with the all star production team The Matrix, Warped Tour performance dates, a deal with MCA, and endless engagements. This success was short lived, and with a brief vacation, Bishop longed to get back to what really mattered - the music. Thus, he went into the studio to embark on a new adventure.
He began writing and recording a refreshing style of music with new writing partner Bryan Stratman. This music had a different feel, still with that familiar hook, but with a new depth. Soon John and Bryan knew this creative energy was not to be ignored, Crash Encore was born.
At the same time, close friends Christian Cummings and TJ Royer were fresh off a national tour, ready to dive into a new project. With lessons learned from backing Ken Andrews, and showcasing their own bands, they were able to whole-heartedly apply uniqueness to this new project with big potential.
A must add to the live show, and the last piece to this dynamic puzzle, was Jackson Price - a versatile musician with a seemingly effortless mastery of the bass.
Crash Encore has appeared on NBC's Concerts in the Square, interviewed on several local radio stations, and nominated for the San Diego Music Award's "Best New Artist". Nationally Crash Encore's music has been added to over a dozen national radio stations, ranking as high as #11 according to K.K.B.B. Crash Encore has completed two music videos, available for viewing online and MTV2.
"The first time I heard Crash Encore I was immediately hooked. It's everything I want from my music - hooks and melody - something you can hum along to or sing out loud!" -Tim Pyles, FM94/9 San Diego
